YouTube says copyright claims must be more specific

YouTube needs a timestamp to weigh a claim.

YouTube is trying to eliminate the confusion about copyright regulations. The video site states that it is important for authors accused of infringement to understand where the alleged violation occurred and what the next steps are.
"Today, copyright owners must provide timestamps that specify where their content appears in videos, and we'll improve our video editing tools in Creator Studio so creators can more easily remove the content associated with those claims." Julian Bill, YouTube product manager, wrote in a blog post on Tuesday.
If you believe that someone has used some of your content without permission (and the YouTube Content ID has not intercepted it), continue to use Manual Claim, a tool in the Content ID. Now it is becoming more specific. From there, YouTube evaluates the accuracy of the claim.
With the updated editing tools, creators can mute the segment in question, remove an infringing title, or remove content. If the authors believe that an allegation is wrong, they can challenge it on YouTube.
